Dirasat: Shari’a and Law Sciences is an open access, peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by The University of Jordan. The main objective of the journal is to provide an intellectual platform for all scholars from Jordanian and international universities in issues relating to the Islamic studies and Law and related topics.
Dirasat Shari’a and Law Sciences journal aims to promote original research and articles that focus on two main topics: Law and Shari’a (Islamic studies). This journal is one of its kind in the region as it publishes articles about methodological disciplines of legal theory, and of all legal areas, in addition to research studies that discuss Islamic studies. The journal aims to promote research studies of all aspects of Islam and the Islamic world, its effect on the culture and civilization, contemporary Islamic thoughts, and related topics. The journal encourage interdisciplinary studies of the Islamic world that are crossnational and comparative; to promote the diffusion, exchange and discussion of research findings; and to encourage interaction among academics from various traditions of learning especially religion, culture and law.
