This study aims at illuminating the role of the Non-Arab groups in the anti-Umayyad Sate movements. It sheds light on a topic that has been longly tackled by the Umayyad sate historians. The finings were that the Umayyads have excluded the non-Arab groups from the state positions regardless of their declaration of Islam. Besides, burdening them with taxes that are imposed as a consequence of their antagonism for the Umayyads. Basically, historians believe that the Umayyad state was a racist Arabic state which underestimated the non-Arab groups’ role and gave privileges to the Arab tribes.
