This study aimed to explore the main sources of the Michael Chekhov's Acting technique, and it also aimed to identify the bases and features of that technique, and to examine its impact on contemporary dramatic performance and acting in both drama and cinema. Results of the study showed that the main sources, employed by Chekhov for the development of his technique included the system of his teacher Constantin Stanislavsky, as well as the philosophical propositions of the German philosopher Rudolf Steiner. The study recommended using Chekhov technique in developing new visions and orientations in contemporary Arab dramatic performance, and conducting applied studies which examine the application of Chekhov's technique in drama, TV, and cenima.
