This paper seeks to identify and analyze the narrative structures of Ahmad Ballu’s poem entitled “Maeen Bsaisu in exile”. The study identifies the elements of story-telling, such as the nature of event, personalities, place and dialogue. The analysis of his narration technique is made through the semiology of the title and its role in decoding the poem’s temporal and spatial dimensions. Ballu’s use of vocabulary and pronouns, the narrative style, implicit references, the characters, the narrative conclusion and the paradoxes are also studied, as they reflect the experience of exile. The study concludes by revealing the relationship between the poetic and narrative structures of the poem “Bsaisu in exile”, as the poem is representivtive for that narrative style.
