Abstract
The current study aims to examine Kuwaiti school principals’ human resource management practices (HRMPs) and their effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment in public schools in Kuwait. HRMPs have been studied extensively in various industries. However, only a few studies have addressed the education industry. The data of the current study were collected using the survey method from a sample of 281 public school principals. Using appropriate statistical methods, the findings showed that (a) principals’ perceptions about job satisfaction and organizational commitment were moderate, while their perceptions about their superintendents’ HRMPs were less than moderate; (b) HRMPs were significant predictors of job satisfaction and organizational commitment; (c) job satisfaction dimensions also significantly predicted organizational commitment; and (d) HRMPs led to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Relevant recommendations were included.

Abstract
An HPLC method with electrochemical detection in the oxidation mode is developed for the determination of caffeine, theophylline, theobromine, and adenine. The method includes a separation step on RP-C8 column using acetonitrile and 0.05M KH2PO4 buffer solution in a ratio of 10:90% (v/v) as a mobile phase. Electrochemical detection was conducted on a Glassy Carbon Electrode (GCE) and on a self-made Iodine-coated platinum (Pt-I) electrode. The optimum working potential for GCE used with the Ag/AgCl (3M KCl) as reference electrode was found to be at +1.45 V, whereas that for the Pt-I electrode was found to be at +1.55 V.
The Pt-I electrode shows equal or better sensitivity compared to GCE.
The developed method shows a good applicability (sensitivity, selectivity and reproducibility) for real samples of coffee and tea.

Abstract
Radionuclides in construction materials of different types and origins used for building in Jordan were investigated by gamma spectroscopy. The activity concentrations of 40K, 238U and 232Th were measured in marble, limestone, granite, fine lime, ceramic, bricks, and concrete using High Purity Ge (HPGe) spectrometer. Results indicate that granite has the maximum average activity concentrations of 39.3±2.2 Bq/kg, 53.64±3.22Bq/kg and 786±33.03Bq/kg for 238U, 232Th and 40K, respectively, exceeding the typical world averages for 232Th and 40K which have the values of 50Bq/kg and 500Bq/kg, respectively. Self absorption correction was made through the calculation of the attenuation coefficients at different gamma energies. These results are in an increase in the activities of all materials. Radium equivalent Raeq activities and hazard indices, Hex and Hin, were also calculated to assess the radiation hazards of the above mentioned materials. It has been found that all materials have Raeq well below the world average limit which is measured to be 370Bq/kg.

Abstract
Three hundred and fifteen medicinal species that belong to 88 families were investigated in the area of the study. One hundred and ten medicinal species (34.92%) were mentioned by less than three informants, and therefore excluded from further consideration. One hundred and fourty one medicinal species (44.76%) were mentioned by three or more informants, but less than 15, so they were considred as unpopular kinds of medicinal plants. Only sixty four species (20.31%) were mentioned by 15 or more informants (half or more of the maximum number of the informants which is 30), and therefore considered as popular medicinal plants. Fourty five species (14.28.%) have Rank Order Priority (ROP) values that equal 50 or more which represnted the highest rank of medicinal popularity among the species investigated. One hundred and sixty eight species (53.33%) have medicinal uses similar to those in the neighboring countries, while the remaining one hundred and fourty seven species (46.66%) haven’t such similar common uses. The studied area was dominated mainly by Saharo-arabian element; although the Mediterranean, Irano-turanian and Nubo-sudanian elements were also present. This studied area showed a high level of species diversity; which required ecological awareness to protect and preserve the wild endemic species from further threats.

Abstract
Wadi Muqat occupies the Central Wadian (The system of Wadis in the study area) Area, and forms the main drainage system of the Hammad Basin in the NE Badia region of Jordan. Its general drainage is towards the north and ultimately into Qaa’ Al-Musmma in Syria. The drainage patterns, which cover the area, include dendritic, subdendritic, distributary, anastomatic and multi basinal patterns with a coarse Wadi texture.
Quaternary sediments in Wadi Muqat include a coarse alluvial Wadi deposits, alluvial fan deposits and fine-grained clay-silt Qaa’ deposits. Wadi and alluvial fan deposits are formed of locally derived debris of limestone, basalt and chert pebbles and gravels.
A series of Qaa’s occur along Wadi Muqat and represent the site of laminated/varved clay-silt deposits indicating that these Qaa’s were occupied by lakes probably formed by natural blocking of the Wadi course by alluvial fans or any coarse Wadi deposits. These lakes are indicated not only by the type of Qaa’ deposits, but also by remnants of old shorelines in some places. They indicate a wetter climate during the Late Quaternary. Two main shorelines were determined and constructed for the lake of Wadi Muqat system by aerial photographs and field trips.

Abstract
We report on outbreed Jordanian family with three children, two girls and one boy, affected with Solitary Median Maxillary Central Incisor (SMMCI) and associated with minor midline anomalies. The two affected sisters had absence of frenulum. The boy had narrow high arch palate, depressed nasal bridge and broad nasal groove. The three children had no additional physical anomalies, were of normal learning abilities, and had a normal karyotype. The high recurrence of this SMMCI syndrome in one family together with the clinical findings and initial pedigree analysis suggest that SMMCI is a true pleiotropic and our patients may represent a previously undescribed autosomal dominant inheritance which leads to minor midline anomalies.

Abstract
This study aims to shed light on the contributions, this Imam provided to the Arabic language when explaining speech acts related to the Arabs at that time which tells about the wide knowledge he had. Al Shafi’ did not just develop flat or simple knowledge in language and literature or deep and specific one in Al Fiqeh wa Osooloh. In fact, we see him as a great scholar in language and its hidden secrets.
In this study, the search will be channeled to investigate Al Shafi’s views about : ore, meaning of pre-Islamic judgment, Al-baheera, Al-wasseela, Al-sae’ba, Al-hami, Al-aqeeqa, Al-tiyara, Al-fara’h, and Al-‘ateera. Al Shafi’ used to explain the lexicon and show what pagans were too. All that was in the context of explaining judgements in light of Shareea’h.
It is believed that this study will conclude to the following: first, Al shafi’ placed his knowledge and science in service of Alfeqeh through providing us with valuable information about the life of the Arabs during the pre-Islam era, even some scholars adopted his approach that explains his impact on scholars’ views to the limit where some of them changed stances for his sake, like Wakeei’ his teacher. Second, Al Shafi’ is one of the very few who benefited from different sciences, away from their specific areas, and applied those sciences in service of their knowledge. So said, Al Shafi’ achieved knowledge integration.

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the degree of inclusion in textbooks of art education to higher basic stage in Jordan for Islamic arts, and to investigate the problems faced by teachers of arts education in the implementation of the curriculum. A content-analysis list and a questionnaire were developed. Textbooks of Arts Education were analysed, and the questionnaire was addressed to 120 techers of Art education in the capital of Amman.
The results of the study showed that some of the contents of Islamic arts were not included in any of the textbooks, while the ninth gradetextbook has the greater percentage of the inclusion of the areas of Islamic art.
The results also indicated a number of problems faced by teachers of art education in the implementation of the curriculum: the highest is the weakness of specialized training programs to develop teachers in art education, the teaching of the subject by material by non-specialised teachers, the high number of students per class, the reluctance to accept students for the education course as a curricular course, the lack of motivation of parents to encourage students to bring items of art education, and inadequate tools and competence available in the workshop, in addition to the lack of computers in proportion to the number of students in the school.
